Currently in the works:

  • It is important for us developers to adapt a critical design process. The game name has been changed to ColourMaze to avoid any misconception.
  • Setting up itch.io and preparing the game for data collection and analysis to guide the level design process.
  • Polish, in the form of more sound effects, smoother UI and handling, animations and visual effects.
  • Models to replace the very square  and edgy walls.
  • Design and implementation of minimum 45 levels (9x9).

I am currently considering several different ways to go about creating levels. On one hand I could manually create another 35 levels such as those that are in the game now. On the other hand, I could make the levels modular and create a level generator  tool with an AI bot that can play through and verify the integrity of the levels. Both solutions require much time and effort, however one of them sounds a bit more fun..?
